Nabataean Tombs

Nabataeans, ancient people of northwest Arabia. Their capital was at Petra, near the present-day town of Wadi Musa, Jordan. In the 1st century BC the Nabataean Kingdom included a large area east of Palestine from Damascus to the Red Sea. When Rome annexed it in AD106, it became the province of Arabia Petraea.
